For nearly 40 years, Alan M. Christenfeld has been a trusted business and legal advisor to commercial businesses, financial institutions and other enterprises in connection with business formation and planning; debt and equity capital raises; acquisitions and divestitures; dispute avoidance and resolution; financial and business restructurings; and other core strategic matters. Before co-founding CPS Companion Diagnostics, he was a senior equity partner in the global law firm Clifford Chance, which he continues to advise as Senior Counsel. Previously, Mr. Christenfeld was an equity partner in the law firms Sidley Austin and Rosenman & Colin.
Mr. Christenfeld has been recognized as a New York Super Lawyer every year since 2006 and is a Fellow in the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers.
Mr. Christenfeld has published many articles (click here) on business and legal topics, and he served as the secured transactions expert for the New York Law Journal from 1996 through 2013. He has been a speaker on numerous American Bar Association, Loan Syndications and Traders’ Association, Commercial Finance Association, Practicing Law Institute and other industry and professional panels.
Mr. Christenfeld received a B.A. (magna cum laude) from Bowdoin College, a J.D. from Cornell University and a LL.M. (in Taxation) from New York University.
